LMS 2009 Designer - Noir
Label Overview
Black and lacy with S&M flourishes like garter belts and leather trim, Peter Ingwersen's Noir evokes racy connotations not typically associated with socially conscious fashion. Launched in 2006, the label promotes fair trade in Uganda by paying cotton workers acceptable wages under Ingwersen's program Illuminati II.
Noir, which shows in Copenhagen, is co-designed by Marlene Juhl Joergensen and touts silk boyfriend jackets, leather leggings, and lingerie accents peeping out of blouses. In 2008, Ingwersen launched Bllack Noir, a younger diffusion line with a rock-and-roll edge.
